An Investigation into Electrodeposited Co−Ni−TiO2 Films with Improved Mechanical and Corrosion Properties

This investigation proposes the use of sol-enhanced electrodeposition to create a range Co−Ni−TiO2 films. The addition TiO2 sol controls nucleation process and properties composite films by generating nanoparticles in situ process. transmission electron microscopy (TEM) zeta potential analyses revealed relatively homogenous distribution with particle size below 100 nm for produced. Microstructure, phase composition, hardness, friction, corrosion resistance were thoroughly investigated relation concentration. results show that limited content upgraded Co−Ni producing film high dispersion nanoparticles. On other hand, too much could cause agglomeration hinder metal deposition process, resulting surface pores deterioration performance.
